CMAS certification is recognised worldwide. From snorkelling to Technical Diver Training, CMAS is an international organisation that was founded by 15 member countries in 1959 to promote scuba diving and other underwater sports. CMAS scuba diving courses are presented by more than 184 worldwide members in over 100 countries on 5 continents. The South African Underwater Sport Federation (SAUSF) is the local CMAS affiliated Federation, and CMAS-ISA is the SCUBA training section of this Federation. Diving instructors teaching CMAS sanctioned courses in South Africa are members of CMAS-ISA.

The Pietersburg Diving School is a professional scuba diving organization for the benefit of all divers. We provide the diver with everything that any amateur scuba diver should need. It is not possible to participate in any scuba diving excursions in South Africa or Mozambique without a valid international scuba diving certificate. We recognize the following international scuba diving certificates: CMAS, NAUI, PADI, SSI.
Resort courses
Resort courses are run as requested: A resort course is only valid for one month, for a maximum depth of ten meters and with the instructor doing the training. It is a short course and ideal for the tourist on holiday to south africa!
Full courses
Our full courses are run on a group basis over two weekends or as needed by a tour group

Underwater World specialises in Scuba Dive training courses and the retail and maintenance of diving equipment. Our scuba training include beginners, up to Instructor’s courses. We are affiliated to the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) and the national Association of Underwater Instructors (NAUI). Underwater World was established in 1974 by Carl de Villiers and has more than 50 years experience in the aquatic industry. Underwater World has an on-site workshop that offers a comprehensive service in equipment repair as well as cylinder inspection and hydrostatic testing.
